Calming the Itch: Effective Strategies without Scratching

I think there is no more annoying symptom of eczema than itching ๐Ÿ˜“, it's desperate, stressful and causes us to do a lot of damage to our skin by scratching.

That's why I decided to compile some tricks that work to relieve itching without scratching.

Use cold compresses ๐ŸงŠ

Cold numbs the skin a little, and provides immediate relief. You can do it with gel compresses, with ice wrapped in a cotton cloth or it also works by applying moisturizing cream that you have stored in the refrigerator.

Apple cider vinegar bath ๐Ÿ›€๐Ÿฝ๐ŸŽ

This is one of the perfect baths to soothe itching, you need the water to be warm, not cold or hot. Be sure to soak for 10 to 20 minutes. Do not do this bath if there are open wounds.

Wet wraps โœจ

This technique really doesn't fail if done right, you should take gauze or cotton cloth, soak it in water and wrap it on the affected areas. You can even do it to relieve nighttime itching.

Oatmeal baths ๐Ÿ›€๐Ÿฝ

Oatmeal has soothing and anti-inflammatory properties that can relieve itching, add 2 cups of oatmeal to the bathtub and soak for 10-20 minutes.

Activities ๐ŸŽฎ

It is important that if your little one has eczema, try to distract him/her with relaxing activities or activities that he/she likes a lot so that he/she can drain stress.

Apply Gold Up Oil ๐Ÿฅฐ

This oil has soothing properties, so your skin or your little one's skin will feel a great relief when you apply it.

Extra tips ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿฝ

๐Ÿ’› Always keep your nails short.
๐Ÿ’›ย Reduce stress levels.
๐Ÿ’›ย Have healthy habits (anti-inflammatory diet).
๐Ÿ’›ย Moisturize your skin constantly.
