When my son was diagnosed with eczema, specifically atopic dermatitis my first question was "can it be cured?" hoping that the doctor would answer "yes, it can be cured" but the story was not like that. I received a "no" as an answer and that "no" felt like a punch in my stomach.
When we are told that a condition our child has cannot be cured we are filled with a lot of fear and uncertainty. Questions like what am I going to do? will he have to live with this forever? will this affect his life forever?
I was so desperate that I started to look for answers everywhere, I began to research and look for all the information available about eczema, and above all I began to listen to professionals who have studied this condition for years.
In my research I expected to find an article that said "this is how to cure eczema", I found several... with misleading information and irresponsible advice.
The more I learned, the more I understood that eczema does not have to affect a person's life forever. There is definitely NO cure, but it can be controlled, a person with eczema can still enjoy their life as long as they have habits that allow them to do so.
A person who has eczema and is constantly drinking alcohol, eating junk food, smoking and not taking proper care of their skin, will probably spend their life dealing with eczema flare-ups.
However, a person who has healthy habits, creates a routine for their skin, knows what their triggers are and avoids them, will probably have their eczema under control.
In my ebook The Holistic Formula For Eczema: P.U.R.I.F.Y. I tell you in detail the formula I used to manage eczema, but in summary it is based on: healing your gut, having an anti-inflammatory diet, using eczema-friendly products, knowing and avoiding your triggers and reducing your stress levels.
If you or your child has been diagnosed with eczema, we are here to support you. You can find all the education and products you need to manage eczema holistically at Scrachee 💛
